There are a lot of tailors in the UAE who make custom Kandooras for UAE nationals to wear.
When visiting a tailor, you have a wide variety of cloth material, colors and Kandoora styles to choose from. The most popular color is white since the weather is hot in the UAE, but other common colors that you can see include blue, beige & caramel.
After choosing a cloth material and color, you can pick various styles, which include Emirati, Kuwaiti & Qatari style. There are a lot of other things you can customize depending on the style you choose.
After deciding on the style, the tailor will take the necessary measurements, and inform you when they will be ready for you to pick up. Depending on the season it may take a week if the tailor is not busy and maybe up to a month if it is around Eid since a lot people like to make new clothes for Eid.
Here is also an interesting fact. Custom-made kandooras are not as expensive as you think. They can cost a lot less than most jeans you buy from malls ^_^. The tailors I know price their Kandooras from 180 to 220 AED. There are probably other tailors which price a lot lower and a lot higher.
