Living in the UAE for almost my entire life, I take many things for granted. Many times tourists see things from a different perspective and enjoy new experiences which for me are normal (since I live here).
Some of the must-visit places if you're ever in Abu Dhabi is Sheikh Zayed Mosque. I've only been there during the night and the lighting, cool breeze and serene atmosphere is quite an experience. Even for people who lived in the UAE for all their life, visiting Shiekh Zayed Mosque is very different from visiting any mosque.
Are there any places you want others to know about in the UAE?

a good place that I take my forgin friends too is the heritage village (Al shandagah village) in dubai, my advice if you can go during cool months not summur, you would enjoy a walk on the Khore shore, see how our ancestors use to live, eat some triditional foods such as legimate, little kids can enjoy a horse ride as well Next to it is Al Maktoum the Rulling Family of dubai old residance you can visit that as well. For those who are fans of onsen's you might enjoy visiting one a natural hot spring which is full with sulpher and is thought to be useful for those suffuring from arthrities and joint pain We used to go when were much younger years ago thier was only a pool one for men and one for women and the entry fee then was 3 dhs! Not any more if you wish to visit the spring the new entery few is 50 dhs this is likely due to restoration done to the site You can book a room at the Khatt resort and spa www.raktourism.ae/en/hotel-directory/hotels/khatt-springs-hotel-and-spa.aspxI have to say I didn't visit the place after restoration so if you get the chance to do so pleas share your experince with us!
